On January 8, 2026, the First Board Meeting of the Co-Laboratory for Innovation with Public Purpose (CLIPP) of the University of Chile was held, marking the formal start of its governance and the definition of a joint work plan aimed at strengthening public innovation with territorial, social, and environmental impact.

CLIPP at the University of Chile
The awarding of the second stage of the Frontier University R&D&I Structural Financing Program (FIUF) allows the University of Chile to move forward with the implementation of the ICAI Platform, which identifies seven gaps in the UCh R&D&I ecosystem. Within this framework, CLIPP addresses the sixth gap, associated with innovation mechanisms, with the aim of contributing to the streamlining of knowledge and technology transfer processes.

As part of the transfer of the Multidimensional Effectiveness Index (IME) to Corporación Opción, in its Child and Youth Protection Programs (PRM-CEPIJ) and Specialized Protection Programs for Commercial Sexual Exploitation of Children and Adolescents (PEE-ESCI), on December 5, 2025, the Training Plan aimed at its professional teams was launched.

The University of Chile marked a new milestone in knowledge transfer and social impact with the official launch of the Co-laboratory for Innovation with Public Purpose (CLIPP). The event, held on November 24 in the crowded Julieta Kirkwood Auditorium of the Faculty of Social Sciences, brought together representatives from academia, the private sector, civil society, and public authorities.
